Oriflame Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash

Hi Everyone,

Happy Holi!! Hope you enjoyed yourself... Unlike other blogs i won't be having a post related to Holi, because honestly i don't know how to take care of the skin post Holi as i don't celebrate this festival due to my sensitive skin*sob sob* Anyhow, all said and done a face wash is a staple product in almost everyone's life. So today i'm going to review a face wash from one of my favourite brand, which i have used on and off for quite some time.

About Oriflame Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash:

Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash with Mulberry extracts and Vitamin E- cleanses, purifies, mattifies, brightens and comforts the skin all at once! Oriflame’s Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash’s multi-action cleansing formula helps brighten and even out skin tone. It also helps remove excessive oil without over drying and is suitable for combination to oily skin type.

Price & Qty:

Rs.249 for 75 ml

Ingredients:

My take on Oriflame Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash:

Oriflame Essentials Fairness 5 in 1 Gel Wash comes in a sleek white and pink tube with a screw on lid. Its a hygienic and travel friendly packaging. As the name suggests its a gel based face wash, but its slightly runny in comparison to other gel face washes. It has a pleasant smell which isn't overpowering. The fragrance lingers for a bit and then fades away. It a soap free cleanser and it foams and lathers really well and i always love that in my face washes.

Even though the name suggests its a fairness face wash, the brand doesn't mention that in its product description. Instead, the brand claims that this face wash cleanses, purifies, mattifies, brightens and comforts the skin all at once! It definitely cleanses the skin really well without leaving any sort of residue. Since im blessed with combination skin tone i always prefer face washes which mattify my skin and this face wash by Oriflame does the job pretty well. With regular usage i could definitely see the brightness on my face.

The only con is that you need to purchase the products through an Oriflame consultant. I don't face this issue as i'm an oriflame consultant myself... Hehe... Anyhow, i really like this face wash, and i use it regularly. Its a pretty good face wash for those with combination to oily skin.

Plum Green Tea Face Mask Review & Price

Hello my Beauties!

Hope you have had a lovely week and enjoying your weekend right now! I worked really long hours this week and yesterday I wen't out for a lovely bloggers meet. Will post about the bloggers meet very soon. Today I'm going to review a lovely mask from the brand called Plum. The brand name is so unique! The biggest plum point for this brand is the fact that their products are free from parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, SLS, DEA and PABA. Doesn't this excite you enough? Read on to know more about the Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask.

About Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask:

No mean mask! Acne-prone skin needs multi-dimensional care - to cleanse, care, control acne, prevent recurrence, and to do all of this gently - phew! No mean mask, this.

Oxidation of skin-produced sebum leads to acne. Green tea-extracts are known anit-oxidants. Clays absorb excess oil and weed out dead skin, helped by glycolic acid.

Price & Quantity:

Rs. 475 for 60grams

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Bentonite, Ctetaryl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerine, Glycolic Acid, Fragrance, FDA approved colors.

My Experience with Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask:

Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask comes in a clear glass tub with a white screw on lid. Its a little heavy but I don't really carry a mask around in my bag so it hardly bothers me. Its a sturdy and very convenient packaging.

It looks like just any another mud pack but when once you apply you will surely know the difference. When i first looked at the product, it looked pretty thick and i thought it would be difficult to apply. The consistency is slightly thicker than other face packs i have used but it was so easy to apply it on my face. It was a very smooth application contrary to what i had imagined.

It has the scent of green tea which lingers on till the face pack completely dries off which is about 15 - 20 minutes. The time to keep the face pack on would be entirely dependent on how thick is the layer that you applied. I did not feel any discomfort when i applied this pack but you might feel a slight tingling sensation when u apply the face pack.

Once i removed the pack, my skin looked so much better. The tiredness of my skin vanished. It gave a really healthy glow to my skin which lasted for a few days. My skin felt so much smoother as well. It controlled the oiliness a lot... I have a combination skin and it worked exceptionally well. I don;t face a lot of acne issues... but i may have one or two on my face. After using this i haven't seen any new ones on my face!

Pros:
  1. Very convenient and sturdy packaging
  2. Lovely green tea fragrance
  3. Does not contain harmful chemicals like parabens, etc.
  4. Thick is consistency but easy to apply
  5. Applies very smoothly onto the skin
  6. No discomfort on my end but u may feel a slight tingling sensation which subsides in a couple of seconds
  7. Removes excess oil from skins
  8. Reduces the recurrence of acne
  9. Removes dead skin
  10. Gives a healthy glow to the face
  11. Works amazingly well for combination skin but think this should work well for other skin types as well.

Cons:
  1. Honestly, i don't have any cons for this product

Final Views:

A face pack is a must in my Sunday skin pampering session. I really liked how this worked on my skin. Do give this product a try if you like to use products which do not have harmful chemicals in them. Plum also does not test it's products on animals! I'm really proud to have used products of this brand. You will keep seeing this brand on my blog for sure.

Hi Everyone,

It was slightly small in size and camelia made sure to look into it and made bigger soap bars the next time round. Will review that soap shortly!

The products have 97% natural ingredients that is good enough for me. I  had a ordered a pack of 4 soaps and got the detox foot soak free. Camelia was kind enough to send the Cocoats Mask free as well :) Thanks   Camy.

  3. Lime Lemon Scrubby Soap
  4. Mystic Beauty Soap

Mini Reviews of The Nature's Co Cherry Face Wash & Lemon Peel Exfoliating Body Wash

Hi Everyone

Hope you are having a good day! I'm feeling so good that i'm getting a chance to blog 2 days in a row... I got down early from work today owing to Ganpati Visarjan. Anyway, somewhere in May i reviewed The Nature's Co Beauty Wish Box April Edition. You can checkout the post Here. So i received 6 deluxe sample products. Of which i have used up two. Ill share mini reviews of the Cherry Face Wash & Lemon Peel Exfoliating Wash.

The Nature's Co Cherry Face Wash:

This lovely face wash came in a clear plastic bottle with a Flip cover. The sample i got was 15 ml and that's pretty good enough to decide whether you like it on not. Since this was a small bottle i carried it around with me on a work trip. This bottle lasted me over two weeks with me washing my face a minimum two times.

The face wash is cherry red in color going with the theme of the face wash. It contains Aloe vera extract and cherry extract. I definitely prefer if my skin care products have natural ingredients. It also has strong cherry fragrance. I really like it! It lathers well, and makes my skin feel super soft. I'm definitely going to stock up on this in the future.Sadly, it didn't do much in oil control. But that's fine by me!

The Nature's Co Lemon Peel Exfoliating Body Wash:

I love body washes! Currently, i am obsessed with handmade soaps so it was refreshing to try out this body wash. It has a lemony scent to it. It contains kiwi seeds and walnut grits which gave a centle exfoliation. It wasn't harsh.. but i don't think it was good enough for me... i think i prefer a little more exfoliation! The sample i got was 20 ml which was good enough for 4 washes.

It lathered really well and left my skin feel refreshed. It made my skin softer as well. The lemony scent does linger on for a while... Which some may not like! Honestly, this wasn't an extremely good product nor was it a bad one. I am still undecided if i should stock up on this one.

Hope you enjoyed reading these mini reviews! I plan to review other samples that i have as well.

Mini Haul From Gia Bath & Body Works II

Hello Everyone

How have you been? Sorry for being off the grid for so long! I'm not going to give any excuses this time round. Lets just go on with the post! So i did two small hauls from Gia Bath & Body Works during August. In case you don't know about the brand as yet... Please hop on to my previous post to know about them! (Here)

In the samples basket ordered in the previous haul, i have received the Neem & French Clay Soap. I simply loved it! There was a discount running on this soap and i ordered just one soap then cuz im trying to control my shopping a bit (You know what i mean :P). Gayatri was kind enough to send me an Angel Skin soap, a pair of earrings and a Scrub Loofah as complimentary gifts(YAY!!! Who doesn't like freebies)

They hosted another set of great offers during Rakhi. This time round i ordered a cupcake soap and the dark angel facial cleanser which i was really looking forward to trying. They keep hosting offers on their Facebook page.

Doesn't the cupcake soap look so yummy!
Hope you liked this mini haul. Do let me know if you want me to review any product first :)
